Nestled among old oak and fir trees, Tsai Vineyard spans approximately 23 acres, planted to:

  • 7 acres of Pinot Gris
  • 2 acres of Pinot Noir
  • 4 acres of Pinot Blanc
  • 4 acres of Chardonnay

Formerly known as Elvenglade, the estate was the life’s work of Bill Kelley, a tech engineer turned winemaker who pursued his dream of living on an Oregon vineyard. He planted his first Pinot Gris in 1986 and expanded into other varieties in 1998 after consulting with vineyard experts Joel Myers and David Lett.

Current owners Jason and Cheryl continue the story with a strong commitment to organic and regenerative farming.

For the past eight years, the team has elevated this mission through:

  • no-till farming practices

This gentle, hands-on approach nurtures vibrant, living soils—resulting in wines of depth and character.

Their approach honors stewardship and sustainable farming while celebrating the unique climate of the Pacific Northwest—where sun and rain nourish deep, resilient roots.

This block holds personal significance: these are the same grapes you and Simon worked with when he was your stagier at Adelsheim Vineyard.

Worden Hill Vineyard (Winderlea)

Originally planted in 1977 by Frank Gorretta, the vineyard once included Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Pommard. The vines were removed in 1997 to make room for horses, but the 50-acre property remains dominated by Jory soil, with a narrow band of Nekia running through its center.

Facing due south at an average of 650 ft elevation, the vineyard is now leased and farmed by Winderlea, who transitioned two decades of organic farming into full biodynamic practices—earning Demeter certification in 2021.
